Cabinet case

To organize the space in the hallway will help closet-case, where you can put hats, gloves, on the lower shelves - shoes. Moreover, to make it yourself is not difficult at all. First you need to decide on the size of the cabinet and the number of shelves. In this master class, it is proposed to make a cabinet with a height of 2.20 meters, a square shape (40 X 40 cm) with five shelves. Next, the details of the cabinet need to be cut out on the chipboard sheet and be stained. To do this, find any format-cutting workshop in your city, in large cities it is in every construction hypermarket. Of course, you can cut out the parts with a jigsaw and make the edge yourself (with a hot iron or self-adhesive edge), but the cost of cutting is not so high that you risk right angles and an economical arrangement on a chipboard sheet. The calculation showed that the cost of the cabinet, which includes the price of a sheet of chipboard, sheet fiberboard for the back wall, the price of cutting and edging is 50% of the cost of the finished product in the store. So, the case consists of 11 parts. The table shows their sizes, the necessary work that must be ordered in the cutting-format workshop,dimensions are specified in millimeters.
To calculate your sizes, use the following algorithm: 1. Determine cabinet parameters - length x width x depth. 2. Dimensions of the side walls - length X depth. 3. Shelves - depth X (width - 2 * thickness of chipboard). In our case, the thickness of the chipboard is 16 mm. 4. Lower facade - usually take 50-70 mm in height, as wide as a shelf. 5. The back wall and the door - (length - height of the facade - 5 mm) X (width - 5 mm). Also do not forget to order 3 round holes in the door, with a diameter equal to the loop (for example, 40 mm), located 100 mm from the top and bottom edges, the third hole exactly in the middle. The edge varies in thickness from 0.6 to 2 mm and the material: paper and plastic. Optimum option - plastic edge in 1 mm. Required tools and materials:
  • drill with jig drill, exposed along the length of the conference (in this case 45 mm);
  • hexagon screwdriver or manual hexagon ;
  • congress and decorative caps for them;
  • square, tape measure and pencil.
All parts and tools
All parts and tools are ready, let's start assembling. Step 1.On the side walls from the bottom we measure 58 mm (50 mm facade + 8 mm half the thickness of the chipboard, called the hole along the axes). We draw a pencil line, measure 100 mm from each edge on it - this is the place of screwing the bottom shelf. Marks points for the facade: 25 mm from the bottom and 8 mm from the edge.
Step 2. From the top of the side wall measure 8 mm, draw a line and put off 100 mm on it from the sides for symmetry holes - this is the top wall of the cabinet. Between the lines in step 1 and 2, the distance is measured - in our case it is equal to 2134 mm. In addition to the top and bottom 4 shelves left, therefore, 2134/5 = 427 mm. We draw lines every 427 mm, we also lay off 100 mm from the edges for symmetry of the holes.
 Side shelves
Step 3. Put the side shelves on 2 stools (neatly, to do not damage the stool) and drill holes on the prepared marked points.

Step 4.Next on the shelves from the ends we measure 100 mm each and 8 mm each along the axes. We make holes in all the shelves at the designated points.

Step 5. We assemble the shelves, fasten them to the side walls: first to then put the second wall and connect it with the shelves.

Step 6. On the short sides of the front faces we drill holes at a distance of 25 mm from the bottom and 8 mm from the edge, fasten the facade to the side walls of the cabinet. Step 9. Install the door: It seemed hole screwed hinges. Then the door is put evenly to the cabinet and an awl (core) makes basting for the holes for the screws through the hinges themselves. It is necessary to fasten a door with someone's help. If you make a little mistake, it’s not scary, since the loop itself is adjustable vertically and horizontally.

The handle is screwed where you want it. The back wall is nailed by small shoemakers. If the room has a high baseboard, you can make a semicircular recess in the bottom of the cabinet with a jigsaw, so that it fits snugly to the wall. For aesthetics, conferences are closed with plastic plugs. Use for Health!
