Genius Travel Idea!
We've been in Rhode Island visiting my family since last Friday for Emmett's first big trip. Packing was a bit of an ordeal … because we broughteverything!
First we packed a bag with approximately 52 outfits—you never know! Then we figured we'd need a couple of swaddle blankets, five or six burp cloths and a few pairs of socks. And then his stroller, his Pack N Play, a rattle or two, books for story time, the Boppy, my pump, and a whole mess of bottles and supplies.
And then we got here and realized we needed approximately none of it.
First of all Emmett got a whole bunch of gifts, so he probably didn't need a single outfit and he definitely didn't need toys or books. And everything else we needed we could have borrowed from my friends up here. The Pack N Play, the bouncy seat, the stroller—all of my friends from high school and many of our neighbors have a kid or two already, so they all have all of that sitting around justwaitingfor a baby.
