Oh, Good. My Baby No Longer Naps In His Crib.
Every time I think I've mastered "parenting," Emmett decides to change things up.
New this week: Emmett no longer naps in his crib. Which is super-helpful during his morning nap, during which I used to be able to get some work done.
This morning I triedSOhard to put him down in his crib. I waited 'til he was extra-tired, read him four stories—stories are usually reserved for bedtime—and rocked him for a solid 10 minutes. But as soon as I shut the bedroom door, he was standing in his crib and screaming like a banshee.
I tried letting him cry it out, but after 10 snot-and-tear-soaked minutes, I strapped him in his stroller and caught up on my casual reading while pushing him back and forth and back and forth (and back and forth and back and forth …) in the entryway.
