I am a patriot, so for me the best goalkeeper is Igor Akinfeev (even though he ranks only 15th in the list of the world's best goalkeepers of the 20th century). But I think very few people will argue with me. In the USSR, the best goalkeeper was Lev Yashin, remember? So, Akinfeev eight times received the prize "Goalkeeper of the Year" named after Yashin. He even surpassed the legendary Soviet goalkeeper in terms of indicators, there were matches when he didn’t miss a single goal! Of course, at the World Cup in Brazil, he missed a goal at the very first match against South Korea (he was even included in the list of players who failed the championship), but I am still proud of him, and I don’t understand those people who condemn him for his mistakes - all the same happens. Now the best goalkeeper in the world is Italian Buffon.
